One of the messages I feel super inspired to share is the true value of creativity in our lives. It is true the world around us is changing and creativity is valued and encouraged within our systems. However true creativity a life where creativity is the core and everything else works around this energy is mainly saved for artists and designers creatives who have managed to master their skills and who have found a way to sell their gifts. In my opinion for most of us humans and most certainly within the worlds core systems; schooling and the way the world is run. Creativity is still just used like salt and pepper, sparingly and mostly just for a little flavour it is not at the core of our life curriculum.
Ever get the feeling when you're falling into the web searching for something, you're not quite sure what, perhaps a missing part of yourself. The part you just can't pin your finger or seem to find. It rolls like this, you start looking for something which popped into your head, an idea, something important, and before you know it hours have passed and you're looking/ reading something totally random.
With this weeks onset of torrential rain in the U.K its got me thinking about one of my favourite wardrobe staples; the trench coat. It also made me think that since April showers seem to have changed into August showers it may be an August wardrobe staple. However, where ever you live in the world a really great trench coat is always a joy and a super practical piece to own. So here are my thoughts on this great Style Icon.......
This week I’m on a meditation retreat and I've been thinking about what it truly means to have a soul connection with your style. It’s something I already feel passionate about but I decided to take it a little deeper so I could write a piece about it. Our journey with the things we love is ever evolving, I’m seeking daily to learn more so I can be the best at my work, to say we have arrived ever would be simple an act of cutting of our noses to spite our face as our whole lives are a journey of self evolution. So this is what I have found in my exploration.
I’m blessed with the gift of a huge imagination and a belief in the seeming to be impossible. It’s a double edged sword as in my heart I believe in so much magic and a life of ease doing things I love working in a way I believe in yet it also makes it hard to do anything else. The truth is always calling me and whilst this is an exciting path, well it isn't always an easy one it can be hard to juggle with real life. So my thoughts this morning are how do we live our truths when our lives are telling us its just not possible.
How can spirituality and materialism be linked?
The word spiritual often creates a vision of an enlightened person or perhaps a hippy sitting detached perhaps on a mountain somewhere beautiful only concentration on their breath and their oneness, separate from the rest of the world. To be truly spiritual a master of this world we need to let go of our attachment to things belongings, desire and simply learn to be. Only through doing yoga eating simple food surrounding ourselves with crystals peace and nature and staying here can this fully be achieved........
